Instructor's Bio

Lucille Mota Costa Co-Director:  Taught Visual Arts in RI Public Schools for over 30 years, with 25 years of experience as a freelance Illustrator/Painter and Stained Glass artist.. She holds a B.S. from Rhode Island College and an MAT from Rhode Island School of Design and a life teaching cerificatation in the State of Rhode Island in Visual Arts K-12.

Dr. Patricia Jubinska Co-Director:  Has over thirty years experience in both the Visual and Performing Arts.  As a free-lance artist in New York City, She designed labels, costumes, and theatrical sets.  She has shown her paintings in many New England galleries and museums, and teaches high school art.  She was a New York City ballet dancer, received advanced training at the Bolshoi Academy under Sophia Golovkina, and has guest starred and directed several ballet companies. Patty also holds a life teaching cerificatation in the State of Rhode Island in Visual Arts K-12.

Bridget Beliveau: Is a music educator with over nineteen years experience.  She has taught students of all ages in her private studio as well as in public school as an Elementary General Music Teacher, Middle School Band Director, as well as many year of experience in African drumming and drum circles.

Shirley Hendrix: Attended the Weisbaden Art School in Germany and has extensive training in both jewelry and silversmithing.  She holds B.S. with additional graduate studies and a life certificate in teaching in the state of Rhode Isand and is National Board certified. Shirley was also a  Christa McAuliffe fellow for RI.

Rick Boudreau: A novelist and former journalist with extensive experience in corporate communications in the Rhode Island area. He holds a B.A. in English from The College of the Holy Cross.

Pam Hovey: Worked in 1997-2014 as a Cultural Arts, Special Education Teacher in Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Children’s Division in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also Taught in 1991 to 1997 Special Education at the, Center for Individualized Education and Training, Providence RI. Pam holds an M.Ed. Special Education from Rhode Island College 1996, B.F.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati, DAAP 1976, and studied at the Art Students League in NYC, ,NY 1972-1974.
